Ingredients

  • 300 g frozen spinach thawed, washed, and squeezed dry
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 Cup mayonnaise
  • 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine spinach, sour cream, cream cheese, mayonnaise, mozzarella, cheddar, Parmesan, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  • Hollow out a round loaf of bread (optional) and fill with the spinach dip mixture. Alternatively, transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
  • Cover with foil and bake:
  • In bread: 35-45minutes, until hot and bubbly.
  • In baking dish: 20–25 minutes, covered.
  • Remove foil, bake for a few extra minutes if needed until golden on top.
  • Serve warm with bread cubes, crackers, or chips.

Notes

  • Make sure to squeeze out all the water from the spinach to prevent a watery dip.
  • Use a mix of cheeses for the best creamy and gooey texture.
  • This dip is best served hot and fresh, but leftovers can be reheated in the oven or microwave.
  • If baking in a bread bowl, choose a sturdy loaf so it holds the dip without collapsing.
