Vermicelli Rice

Vermicelli Rice is a popular Lebanese rice dish made with only 3 ingredients rice Vermicelli and olive oil seasoned only with salt. 

vermicelli is toasted in olive oil and cooked with long grain rice to make a fluffy simple rice pilaf that serves as the perfect side dish to so many main dishes. 

Lebanese vermicelli rice is a very common side dish to a lot of classic stews 

I love having vermicelli rice with just yogurt or a cucumber yogurt sauce so delicious


✨Ingredients ✨
1 cup basmati rice 
1/2 cup vermicelli 
2 cups hot water 
2 tbsp olive oil 
1 tsp salt 

✨Instructions ✨
1: soak rice for at least 1/2 an hour depends on the kind of rice that you using.
2: wash the rice then drain all the water 
3: add olive oil to a pot then add vermicelli cook till golden color 

4:add rice and salt mix together then add hot water.
5: mix the rice with the water then bring to boil 
6:when start bubbling lower the heat to low cover and cook for 10 minutes
7: after 10 minutes turn off the heat and leave it covered for another 10 minutes it will continue cooking on steam ( this way the rice keep cooking but doesn’t get too dry) 

8: open the lid fluff with a fork then enjoy.
